Lions finalise tour preparations

The English Lions U18s are putting the finishing touches to their preparations ahead of their trip to Lebanon.

The Lions fly out from Manchester Airport on Tuesday July 24, and assistant coach Alan Davidson is looking forward to boarding the plane to Beirut.

“We’ve prepared really well and will hold our final training session in Leeds tomorrow,” he said.

“The tour will be a great experience for all of us and we’re really looking forward to visiting the country.

“There’s been a lot of development work done in Lebanon over the last few years and it’s fantastic that we can play our part in helping Rugby League grow out there.”

The 20-man squad will be based in Beirut for their nine-day trip which will see them play two games against Liban Espoir.
