The Midlands Regional Final was played out in atrocious weather conditions, with both sides - Leamington Royals and Telford Raiders - contesting their first silverware.
The Royals came out victors in their debut season with a performance that better suited the conditions.
Poor handling blighted by the weather in the first half restricted expansive play, but Ant Watton capitalised on a chancing long pass to open the scoring 7 minuted in for the Royals. Tom Secher added the extras.
A close range effort from Steve Ewell nosed the home side further ahead, with Secher again accurate with the boot on the twenty minute mark.
With the weather improving in the second half, both sides began to move the ball around. Raiders Pete Jones burrowed in from dummy half shortly after the restart, with Liam Evans converting.
Pom Tutt was held up minutes later, preventing the Raiders from going level.
Captain Marcus Pask crashed through with quarter of an hour remaining, Secher again converting to push the Royals ahead.
The home side finished with a flurry, as Alex Sharman brought the scores to 22-6 and Steve Alford diving in on the final play of the game, with Secher converting the latter.
Final score 30-6.
Leamington Royals now face East champions on Sunday 22nd August, 2.30pm KO at Coventry Bears in the Co-Operative Rugby League Conference Regional Quarter Final.
A converted try from prop Wes Rogers 10 minutes from time was enough to edge BRISTOL SONICS past LEICESTER STORM 16-8 in a pulsating Qualification Semi-Final at Aretians.
The Sonics had the better of the opening exchanges and deservedly hit the front after 18 minutes. Following consecutive sets of six deep in Storm territory Sonics', full back James Gross touched down an inch-perfect grubber kick from captain Dom Swann. Swann couldn't convert, leaving Bristol with a slender 4-0 lead.
The Storm replied soon afterwards, Karl Harris diving over in the corner to level the scores, which, with defences on top was the score at the interval.
The Sonics created and wasted a number of good chances at the start of the second period and were made to pay when George Leng pounced on an error to score an unconverted try to give the Storm the lead.
After both sides were reduced to 12 men after a 10-man brawl on the hour, the Sonics struck, Neil Evans charging over by the posts to level the scores. Swann's conversion gave the home side a slender two-point lead going into the final 15 minutes.
The Storm pressed hard and the Sonics were forced to defend their tryline but after weathering the storm, they gained field position and Rogers crashed over for the vital score. Swann's conversion went in off a post to stretch the lead to eight points.
Leicester threw everything at Bristol in the closing stages, but the Sonics defence stood firm to secure the club's first RLC Midlands Premier Grand Final appearance against Minor Premiers Coventry Bears, which takes place on Saturday 21st August, 2.30pm at Coventry.
