Match Officials Development
Being a referee is often a very challenging and unpredictable experience. All match officials are always learning and training and development is a vital part of any match officials routine.
Perhaps the first place to start, and often referred to throughout a match officials career is the laws of the game document. The current version can be found by visitng The laws of the game section of the RFL website.
In 2012 the RFL has introduced a series of new local training sessions which are available to all referees and budding referees.
West Midlands Training Sessions
The West Midlands training sessions will primarily take place at Coventry Dragons home ground on Tile Hill Lane in Coventry CV4 9DE, these all start at 7pm. If another venue is to be used participants will be noted in advance and info will be posted to this website.
East Midlands Training Sessions
The East Midlands training sessions will primarily take place at Nottingham Trent University Clifton Campus, Nottingham, NG11 8NS, these all start at 7pm. If another venue is to be used participants will be noted in advance and info will be posted to this website.
