The Scholarship is a high level Player Development Environment which mirrors the environment at all Super league clubs. A maximum of  36 players across both age groups of U16 & U15 are selected for the programme which trains twice a week between September & August at Loughborough College on Monday & Wednesday.

The Scholarship plays up to 8 games per year against other Clubs / Regional Academies, giving the players an opportunity to measure themselves against some of the best players at their age group.

The scholars receive monitored coaching aimed at improving technique, technical knowledge and core skills, mental awareness / toughness etc., and Strength &Conditioning an integral part of the programme, with work on movement skills & core stability been essential attributes for Rugby League, delivered by a mixture of professional / volunteer coaching staff within a top class environment / facilities.

Players can be approached to join the scholarship after being observed in their community club environment or identified from the Origin Series, or by the Talent ID process supported by the clubs, when they can be identified on a weekly basis. This may result in a trial period within the programme to assess their abilities.
