Where Could Your Playing Career Take You?
The Midlands region can now lay claim to a number of players who are playing in the professional ranks at various levels who started playing Rugby League with a local club. Below are some of the good news stories. Where could your playing career take you?
Sam Hull and Leigh Sanders
Sam Hull (pictured) and Leigh Sanders both began playing Rugby League with North Derbyshire Chargers. The pair played well in the Origin series, with Sam picking up an England Cap for the Community Lions.
Both signed for Sheffield Eagles, making Reserve Grade appearances throughout 2010 and 2011. Leigh made his first team debut in a 2012 pre-season friendly and Sam hopes to be not far behind him.
Ryan Millar
Ryan began playing Rugby League with Birmingham Bulldogs. He impressed in a number of the Origin Series and was part of the Regional Player Development Centre programme.
Having toured with the GB Community Lions in South Africa, Ryan now trains with the London Broncos U20s and is aiming to impress this season.
